A: Have you ever tried golf?
골프 쳐봤어 ?

B: Actually yeah *I dabbled in it a few years back.
응. 사실 몇 년 전에 조금 해봤어.

* dabble in sth : 깊게 파진 않고 조금만 해보다. (=찍먹 느낌)

B: My company sent me to vietnam for 2 years.
And after I got settled there I started to get a little restless.
자리 잡고 나니까 너무 심심해서 뭐라도 해야겠더라고.
And so, I took up golf and it was great for passing the time.
그래서 골프를 시작했는데 시간 때우기 너무 좋더라고.

A: Oh is that right?

B: Yeah, it took up a good chunk of my time after work and on weekends.
응. 퇴근하고 나서 그리고 주말에 꽤 많은 시간을 차지하더라고.
And actually I got quiet into it at one point.

A: Oh I see. Do you still play?

B: Once in a while. not nearly as much as when I was there.
